This page sets out the terms on which 1stGati Packers and Movers ("we") packs, moves, transports and stores goods for you ("the client"). Requesting a quote or confirming a booking means you accept them. We have kept the language plain so you know precisely what to expect from us, and what we expect from you.

1. Quotes and pricing

• Our quotations are written, itemised and valid for 7 days from issue.
• Pricing follows your inventory, distance, access conditions (floor, lift, lane width) and chosen services. A genuine change in any of these revises the quote — with your approval taken first.
• The amount written in your quotation is the amount you pay. Surprises are for birthdays, not invoices.

2. Paying for your move

• Bookings are confirmed with a small token amount. The balance falls due after delivery, unless a different arrangement is agreed in writing.
• We accept payment only to our company account — by bank transfer, UPI or any major card — with a GST invoice issued for every payment. If someone asks you to pay a personal account in our name, refuse and inform us at once through this site or info@1stgatirelocationpackersmovers.in.
• Full advance payment is never a condition of booking with us.

3. Dedicated truck or shared vehicle

On long intercity routes, smaller consignments sometimes travel as a shared load with other clients' goods — sealed, labelled and separately inventoried. This is standard industry practice and keeps your cost down. Want the vehicle to yourself? Mention it at survey time and we will price a dedicated truck for you.

4. Your part in a smooth move

• Give us the full inventory upfront — honesty here is what makes the fixed price possible.
• Keep jewellery, cash, papers and medicines with you personally.
• Flag fragile, heavy or unusual items early, along with society permissions, lift bookings and parking constraints.
• Have the premises accessible, with someone responsible present, at the agreed time.

5. Goods we decline

Flammable and pressurised items, gas cylinders, acids and liquid chemicals, oil and ghee containers, alcohol, perishable food, live plants and pets, and anything the law forbids. This protects your belongings as much as our crew and vehicles.

6. Insurance and responsibility

• Transit insurance is offered on every move, with coverage options explained in writing before you commit.
• Moves made without insurance carry limited liability on our part — reasonable repair cost or depreciated value under standard industry terms.
• Events beyond reasonable control — severe weather, road closures, accidents, or seizure during lawful government inspection — are outside our liability, though we will always tell you what is happening and why.

7. Moving day and delivery

• Changing the inventory on moving day changes the quote — more items cost more, fewer cost less, always revised in writing before loading.
• We deliver to the invoice holder or a representative you authorise in writing on shifting day.
• Inspect your goods at delivery and raise anything on the spot. Post-acknowledgement claims are hard for both sides to prove.

8. If timing slips

The invoice carries an estimated delivery date. If the destination is not ready within 48 hours of the truck arriving, a pre-agreed daily storage rate applies from day three. Planning a delayed move-in from the start? Our warehouse option is usually the cheaper route — just ask.

9. Cancelling or moving your date

• Tell us at least 24 hours before the scheduled move and cancellation or rescheduling costs nothing. Advances are returned within 5–7 working days.
• Same-day cancellations may carry the actual crew and vehicle costs already committed — only those, never a rupee more.

10. This website

Published rates are indicative ranges; your written quotation is the final word on price. The content and design of this site are our property.

11. Where disputes go

Matters we cannot resolve mutually are subject to the courts of Chandigarh, India.
